Edward A. Zbella, M.D., F.A.C.O.G, F.AC.S.
Edward A. Zbella, M.D. was born in Chicago, Illinois, and attended college at Benedictine University. He received his medical degree from the University of Illinois in 1980 and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Mount Sinai Hospital. After completing his residency, Dr. Zbella participated in a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in 1986.
Dr. Zbella is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and subspecialty certified in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Dr. Zbella serves as the medical director of University Fertility Associates, as the Director of the division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Bayfront Medical Center’s residency program in obstetrics and gynecology, and as the Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida.
He is a member of numerous professional organizations including: The American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the Society of Reproductive Endocrinologists, the Society of Reproductive Surgeons, the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American College of Surgeons, and the Society for Male Reproduction and Urology.
Dr. Zbella has published numerous scientific articles in major medical journals and has served as a reviewer for journals related to gynecology and infertility. He has written chapters in several medical text books and has lectured nationally at numerous meetings and seminars. Dr. Zbella continues to participate in clinical research with his residents in training and participates with major pharmaceutical companies.
Dr. Zbella is dedicated to assisting infertile couples achieve the goal of having children through clinical care, research, and education.

Mark D. Sanchez, M.D.
Dr. Sanchez graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. Subsequently, he attended the University of Florida College of Medicine, and graduated with a Doctorate in Medicine.
He performed his Internship and Residency at Bayfront Medical Center in Saint Petersburg, Florida. He is presently a Clinical Fellow and Instructor with the University of South Florida, Department of OB/GYN, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He is a member of ACOG, ASRM, AAGL, and the SREI. His interests are diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis, müllerian anomalies and estrogen receptor physiology.

Gayle Cameron, RN
IVF Nurse Coordinator
Gayle Cameron graduated from Hillsborough Community College in 1989 with an Associates Degree in Art and later received her Associates of Science in Nursing in 1991. She
has an extensive knowledge base with a strong back ground in: obstetrics and gynecology, labor and delivery, ante/postpartum care, high risk OB, cardiac intensive care, emergency medicine and neonatal and pediatric intensive care. Since joining University Fertility Associates in 1996, she has received her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from the University of Tampa in 1998. She is also a member of the Society foe Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART).

Marilyn S. Plattner, ARNP
Assistant IVF Nurse Coordinator
Marilyn S. Plattner, received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing from the University of Missouri. She then completed her post-graduate work at the University of South Florida to become licensed as a Nurse Practitioner and is nationally certified by the Nursing Certification Corporation. She provides routine gynecology care and is the assistant IVF coordinator. She is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, The Florida Nurses Association and The Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology.

Kelvin L. Fry, B.SC.
Laboratory Manager
Kelvin Fry brings over ten years of experience in human andrology and embryology laboratory experience to University Fertility Associates. Kelvin began working with University Fertility Associates in January, 2000. He acquired his complex training in embryology from some of the largest IVF clinics in the United States (Fairfax Genetics and IVF, IVF America-Long Island and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation). Prior to joining University Fertility Associates, Kelvin had started and managed two new IVF laboratories. He oversees a quality assurance program in the IVF laboratory including the training of embryologists in IVF techniques specializing in micromanipulation. Kelvin received his Bachelors degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene College.

Jenny Morrell-McAllister, BS. MT(ASCP)
Embryologist/Andrologist
Jenny Morrell-McAllister joined University Fertility Associates in September of 2000 as a member of our IVF department. She was introduced to the field of Reproductive medicine while working as a certified Medical Technologist (ASCP) at The Medical College of Virginia. There, she gained experience in hormone assays and all aspects of andrology. In 1999, Jenny joined Duke University’s Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Clinic and began her training as an embryologist. She assists in the coordination of our
shared and donor oocyte program and is responsible for implementation of the SART data. Ms. Morrell-McAllister completed her undergraduate degree in Biology from Campbell University and her Medical Technology training from The University of Wake Forest at Bowman Grey Medical Center.
